These days, real estate professionals and those in related industries are looking for value-added experiences to enhance their expertise. The Aurora Association of REALTORS® offers such an experience – weekly, and for little to no cost.
Fridays…fabulous
The REALTOR® Update Meeting is regularly attended by 50…75…even 100 or more AAR professionals each week. If you go, you know…and if not, it’s time you check out the valuable opportunities available to you as a member each and every Friday morning.
Networking
Nothing like a little face time with AAR’s top professionals. You know what they say – success comes from who you know. The REALTOR® Update Meeting is the perfect place to reconnect with those you’ve met and get in front of new colleagues who can help you on your way to that next deal.
The chance to make a deal
At every meeting, REALTORS® have the chance to present their new listings in front of the group. Need a buyer? You might just find a colleague who has yours. Plus…when you present a new listing at a REALTOR® Update Meeting, the Association will send a letter to your client letting him or her know that you marketed the property to numerous peers and colleagues in the industry.
Free publication of listings
After you present that new listing, AAR sends it to the Aurora Sentinel and Buckley Guardian. The Sentinel publishes it free in its Thursday Home edition and weekend edition; the Guardian publishes it in the weekend edition.
Invaluable information
There’s no better, more interactive way to find out what is going on in your Association. Committee representatives and AAR staff members attend the meetings to announce information that is pertinent to you and your business – upcoming events and classes, issues in the industry, news from the Board of Directors and much more.
Affiliate-hosted breakfast, door prizes
AAR’s Affiliates are big supporters of REALTOR® Update Meetings. One Affiliate provides a high-quality door prize each week, which is awarded by a drawing of those in attendance. And on the first Friday of every month, an Affiliate member provides a full breakfast. (Pastries, juice and coffee are available at all other REALTOR® Update Meetings.)
Outstanding speakers
The Association’s Speaker Committee organizes a presentation each week by a top-quality speaker on topics of relevance to the industry. Stay up to date on RESPA rules, learn marketing strategies, follow industry issues, gain a positive outlook and so much more, all from presenters who share their expertise in a
20-minute chunk of time.
Networking is critical to a successful career in real estate, and AAR is committed to providing a valuable REALTOR® Update Meeting each week to keep its members in the know, to give them the chance to gather in a professional setting with peers and colleagues, and to give them help in getting the word out about their listings.
Put Friday, 8:30 a.m. in your calendar and make it a habit to attend along with other AAR professionals already taking advantage of this membership benefit. Attendance is just $1, except on the first Friday of the month when there is no charge. All AAR members are welcome.
